We are delighted to share with you the exciting Senior Vice President of Human Resources search for Savers Bank (www.saversbank.com). Founded in 1910, this community-focused mutual organization offers a full range of personal and business banking products and services. Based in Southbridge, MA, Savers Bank has modern facilities with the latest technology to support new innovations in banking. With approximately $800 million in assets, the Bank operates branches in Auburn, Charlton, Grafton, Southbridge, Sturbridge, and Uxbridge. 


This is an exciting opportunity to serve as an integral member of Executive Leadership. Savers Bank is not driven by quarterly shareholder pressure, enabling thoughtful decision-making and sustainable growth. The Bank is financially sound and brings a nimble, high-touch community approach to serving its customers.


Key priorities include: 

• Reporting directly to the President & CEO, develop and execute human capital strategy in alignment with the Bank’s strategic plan. 

• Oversee all aspects of human resources including talent management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, organizational development, compliance, and HR fiscal management. 

• Operate as both a strategic advisor and a hands-on leader, ensuring regulatory compliance while building a high-performing, customer-focused workforce within a community bank environment.


The successful candidate will bring:

• A minimum of ten years of human resources experience including recruitment, training, compensation and benefits, compliance, metrics, and/or retention/succession planning (or equivalent). 

• Experience in banking strongly preferred (community bank experience ideal). 

• Demonstrated experience working with executive leadership and/or board of directors/committees, with strong change management leadership to support growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 

• Human Resources Certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent) are desired.


The salary range for this position is $150,000-$185,000 and does not include benefits and bonus potential. Compensation is determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function, and associated responsibilities, as well as a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location. The officer title (i.e., Vice President or Senior Vice President) will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, expertise, and skills.
