We are delighted to share with you the exciting President & Chief Executive Officer search we are leading for Mass Bay Credit Union (“Mass Bay” www.massbaycu.org). Based in South Boston, Mass Bay is a $350MM asset state-chartered credit union dedicated to serving the financial needs of its members. Mass Bay was founded in 1936 as a credit union for MBTA employees and later expanded to serve the local community. 


This is an outstanding opportunity to lead and strategically grow a well regarded financial services organization. This role requires a visionary leader who can develop strategy, drive change, and implement a growth and expansion plan. Mass Bay is financially sound and well positioned for the new President & CEO to “take the Credit Union to the next level.” 


Key priorities include: 

  • Bring vision and a forward-thinking growth mindset to build on the strength of the Organization while leading it in its next chapter.
  • Serve as a strategic, consultative leader and change agent, as well as an approachable, hands-on team member. 
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan that includes growth, technology, and a progressive approach to enable the Credit Union to thrive in the ever-changing financial landscape. 


The successful candidate will bring:

  • A minimum of ten years of financial services leadership and management experience (or equivalent).
  • A well-rounded financial services track record that includes Lending, Finance/ALCO, Retail, IT, Risk Management, and/or Regulatory knowledge/experience (or equivalent).
  • Proven ability to manage a proactive partnership with a Board, Management, and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as an active member of the community.


The salary range for this position is $325,000-$425,000 and does not include benefits and bonus potential. Compensation is determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function, and associated responsibilities, as well as a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
