The firm is seeking a strategic and hands-on Attorney to lead its legal function and play a pivotal role in developing new business lines, including building the foundation for an in-house title company, Fast Track Title.

Fast Track Title is being built to eliminate delays and push deals across the finish line with unmatched speed, precision, and urgency. This role is not a “sit-back and oversee” position. We’re looking for a bulldog attorney who thrives in the trenches, dives into the details, clears obstacles, and drives every deal to completion. You’ll own the legal and compliance infrastructure, ensure licensing, bonding, and regulatory requirements are met, manage the legal aspects of real estate transactions, and help shape the corporate structure of this rapidly scaling organization.

You will serve as both a strategic advisor to the Executive Team and a hands-on operator, leading the legal function while building and mentoring a team to support Moss Home Solutions’ expanding operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Closings with Urgency: Own the closing table, personally driving a high volume of transactions each month and ensuring every deal closes accurately and on time.
• Build Fast Track Title: Develop and launch the company’s in-house title company, overseeing licensing, bonding, insurance, and full operational readiness while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Solve Problems, fast: Proactively clear title issues, liens, probate matters, evictions, and other obstacles - holding outside counsel accountable and removing anything that stands in the way of a closing.
• Legal Oversight & Corporate Structure: Review contracts, title documentation, due diligence, and closing processes, while establishing and maintaining corporate entities, governance, and business registrations to support rapid growth.
• Advisor + Operator: Serve as a trusted legal and strategic advisor to the Executive Team, guiding on legal strategy, risk management, and regulatory matters, while rolling up your sleeves to execute on ground-level tasks every day.
• Team Builder & Leader: Mentor and develop team members, setting the standard for excellence, urgency, and accountability as the legal function expands alongside a rapidly scaling company.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with an active license in Rhode Island or Massachusetts (both preferred); admission to additional states (NH, CT, NY, ME, VT, PA) 
• Deep experience in real estate law, title insurance, and closings, including evictions, probate, corporate formation, and investor/lender documentation.
• Proven track record of high-volume closings under pressure, thriving in deadline-driven, fast-paced environments.
• Hands-on operator with experience launching or managing title operations, including licensing, compliance, and staffing.
• Strong business acumen, problem-solving instincts, and a relentless drive to achieve results.
• Notary commission or prior title company experience is a plus.
