With projected revenue of $11.6M in 2025 and a clear trajectory toward $100M+, Moss is a mission-driven, founder-led business transforming off-market property acquisitions into impactful real estate solutions for homeowners and investors alike.
Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will play a critical leadership role in scaling the company’s operations, team, and infrastructure during a pivotal phase of growth. This is a hands-on, high-impact opportunity for a proven operator who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments. The COO will:
- Translate the CEO’s vision into executable strategies, rhythms, and department alignment.
- Build scalable systems, processes, and performance frameworks across departments.
- Provide leadership to Sales, Dispositions, Marketing, Finance, Transactions, Technology, and Green Growth initiatives.
- Oversee financial operations in partnership with the Controller, including budgeting, forecasting, and banking relationships.
- Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
The COO will work in person at the company’s Massachusetts headquarters (remote on Wednesdays) and help shape a collaborative, results-oriented culture that empowers people and drives sustainable growth.
The Successful Candidate Will Bring:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including 3–5 years as COO, VP of Operations, or General Manager.
- A proven track record of scaling founder-led or family-owned businesses—ideally within real estate, home services, building trades, or logistics.
- Strong strategic and operational acumen, with the ability to lead across multiple departments and functions.
- Experience implementing systems, tools, and KPIs to improve performance and efficiency.
- Familiarity with financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- A collaborative leadership style and the ability to coach, empower, and hold teams accountable.
- Comfort operating in high-growth, fast-paced settings where agility and execution are critical.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with real estate investment or wholesaling.
- Background in entrepreneurial or family-owned environments.
- Familiarity with performance operating systems (e.g., EOS).
- A high-energy, hands-on approach and a strong sense of ownership.
